Coast Guard Excellence in Food Service Awards for 1999 R 211814Z JAN
99 ZYB ZUI ASN-D00021000337 1. REF A ANNOUNCED THE ANNUAL CGEFS AWARDS FOR 1999. I AM PROUD TO STATE AGAIN, THIS YEAR'S NUMBER OF HIGHLY QUALIFIED NOMINEES MADE THE SELECTION PROCESS VERY DIFFICULT. THE FINALIST EVALUATION TEAM REPORTED OUTSTANDING FINDINGS IN FOOD SERVICE OPERATIONS. PROFESSIONALISM AND DEDICATION TO MISSION SUPPORT WERE PREVALENT AT EACH INSTALLATION. 2. UNFORTUNATELY, INCLEMENT WEATHER AND SCHEDULING RESTRICTIONS PREVENTED SOME OF THE UNITS FROM BEING VISITED. THE DECISIONS IN THESE CATEGORIES WERE BASED ON PACKAGES SUBMITTED AND SELECTED BY THEFINALIST PANEL. I STRONGLY URGE THOSE COMMANDS NOT SELECTED FOR THEAWARDS THIS YEAR TO REAPPLY NEXT YEAR. I THANK YOU FOR THE SUPERBJOB EACH OF THE NOMINATED COMMANDS ARE DOING, WELL DONE. 3. IT IS MY PLEASURE TO ANNOUNCE AND CONGRATULATE THE FOLLOWING WINNERS AND RUNNER-UP COMMANDS: A. WINNERS: B.
